YOUTHFiT LOWER HUTT.
NEW - YOUTHFit Squad Training
YOUTHFiT Squad Training has two key concepts; a more results based approach, and the bringing together of those with similar exercise needs in a supportive environment. For example, a General Fitness Squad has the purpose to improve or maintain general fitness levels (cardio and basic strength) over an 8 week period. Cardio improvements can be assessed by heart rate recording, and strength by the number of push-ups recorded at the beginning and end of a squad.
Benefits of training with others of common needs and goals have huge advantages. Kids are social and enjoy being part of a team/group. They are more lively to exercise in a social setting than individually amd even more so when the group has a common goal. Squads are purpose and goal specific. Therefore the participants have a similar desired result and support each other to reach this.
Examples of Squads that can be delivered are:
- General Fitness
- Strength
- Core Training
- Pilates
- Weight Loss
- Catch-up Quick
- Sports specific/pre season
- Dance / Zumba Fusion
- Getting Started
- Weight Training Technique
The beauty of the Squad concept is that we can customise programs to meet the different needs of our youth. The price for each Squad is dependant upon the type of Squad, the duration, and the frequency of the sessions. A Catch-up Quick Squad, whose purpose is to increase general fitness and strength in a short period of time, especially pre season, may be 6 weeks in duration with 3 sessions per week. A Getting Started Squad, whose purpose is to become confident with exercise for those who are essentially inactive, may have 2 sessions per week over a 10 week period.
